Anger
Anger is an intense emotion that prepares someone to fight. Originally it was a response tied to survival in humans and could be good or bad. Anger is rooted in the perception of being wronged, treated unfairly, or belief that something is unjust. It can be verbal or nonverbal in its orientation or both. Anger becomes a problem when it is not controlled and is a constant way of reacting that can get someone into trouble, effect relationships, work performance, or create legal issues. It has the potential to alienate others and cause regret. There are therapeutic strategies that can be learned to aid in managing the intensity and effect anger has on a person.
